This jumpsuit - originally intended as overalls for naval and submarine mechanics - has been transformed into a true statement piece. It has been overdyed in black to further accentuate the dark navy blue colour, 48 different bejewelled buttons have been hand-sewn to the top half of the garment and a black grosgrain belt has been added to pull in the waist. This handmade jumpsuit is approx. 2 metres long. The piece is part of the REIMAGINE PINKO Summer 21 Edition capsule collection, created in collaboration with - and thanks to the innovative creativity of - Patrick McDowell. It took 2.5 hours to make this item. Any apparent imperfections are actually traces of this garment’s previous life and truly encapsulate the meaning of real recycling. Model is 177cm tall and wears a size 40.
